Discord as a Website

This concept very likely goes against the original goals set out by Neocities, allowing people to create their own spaces - with their own code - rather than being limited to the constraints of a mainstream social platform, like facebook, twitter, or discord, to be able to do something unconvential, under their own terms. However, that's just what this is. Doing something unconvential.

The goal of Discord as a Website, is to use the Discord chat platform as a means of storing and sharing information, as a website would, only using the constraints of the Discord platform. Here's how it works: There are 26 main channels, a-z. On each channel there would be posts, with information, as if though they were websites. These posts would be searchable by IDs, and could potentially reference other IDs to search for as well. A website, such as this one, would serve as a directory of website with their respective ID's.

What is the point of all this? Isn't it just extra steps for an inferior experience? Well, mostly. It is just something for me to mess around with since I have nothing better to do. However I could see some potential benefits. First of all, quick and easy authentification. In order to access the Discord server at all, you would have to have a Discord account. There would likely also be a quarantine channel, where we could screen who could receive further access. Secondly, in the same vein as Neocities "Activity" tab, you would be able to browse "websites" by their latest page, allowing you to stumble upon things you had no idea you were looking for. There could also be secondary channels for discussing the content of these websites.
